Environment Secretary Roy A. The officials commit to weed out corruption and ensure transparency and accountability in government in partnership with PACC through their Project Kasangga: Tokhang Laban sa Korapsyon. Cimatu received the recognition from the City Government of Cebu for his exemplary level of leadership, service, love, and care for the Cebuanos when he was appointed to oversee the COVD-19 situation in the city in June 2020 by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. At that time, Cebu City was called the “second epicenter” of the pandemic in the country. Cebu City Councilor Edu Rama (right) was also present in the ceremony. ###

Residents of Bgy. Capipisa in Tanza, Cavite join the coastal cleanup conducted by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and the Philippine Coast Guard as a show of the spirit of volunteerism in celebration of World Environment Day on June 5. The activity cleared the shoreline of marine debris such as plastic bags, plastic bottles, sachets, foil packs that were washed ashore. The DENR through the Strategic Communication and Initiatives Service-Strategic Alliance and Environmental Partnership division chief Raymond Virgino (inset) also distributed posters to help educate and guide residents on proper waste disposal and yellow trash bins for household healthcare wastes. ## #
