CIMATU WELCOMES NEW DENR EMPLOYEES, LEADS CIVIL SERVICE ANNIVERSARY

Environment Secretary Roy A. Cimatu (second from left) welcomes a new employee of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) with a fist bump after the oath taking ceremony of 37 newly appointed and promoted personnel of the Department on September 17 at the DENR Central Office in Quezon City. Coinciding with the ceremony is the DENR’s celebration of the 121st anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service where Cimatu challenged the employees to continue serving the country and to live up to the mission of the Department to mobilize Filipinos to take environmental action that will benefit the present and future generations. This year, the Civil Service Commission introduced a 10-year overarching theme, “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant Heroes,” which reflects the role of Human Resource in building a competent and credible workforce in the new normal.#
