TITLE OF THE PROGRAM AUSTRALIA AWARDS SCHOLARSHIP 2024 
PROGRAM DETAILS Australia Awards scholarships are prestigious international awards offered by the Australian Government to the next
generation of global leaders for development. Through study and research, recipients develop the skills and knowledge to
drive change and help build enduring people-to-people links with Australia.

QUALIFICATIONS
Interested applicant shall possess the following qualification requirements of the DENR:
  • Has held permanent plantilla position for at least two (2) years in the DENR at the time of application;
  • Has obtained performance ratings of at least Very Satisfactory for the last two (2) consecutive rating periods;
  • Has been performing duties and responsibilities relevant to the field of study/travel being applied for;
  • Has no pending administrative case;
  • Has no pending application and nomination for other study and non-study trips;
  • Has not exceeded four (4) official foreign travel within a year;
  • Has submitted all the required reports from previous foreign travels;
  • Has rendered the required service obligation for a scholarship previously enjoyed;
  • Must be willing to conduct a master’s thesis aligned to the priority programs of the Department or related topics to be identified/approved by the DENR;
  • Must be willing to sign a scholarship service contract and shall serve the DENR with the corresponding period of service obligation;
  • Must not be a delinquent scholar; and
  • In good mental and physical health.
DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS  The nominee shall submit the following requirements to Career Development Division-HRDS:
  • Memorandum addressed to the Chair of the Human Resource Development Committee (HRDC), attention HRDC Secretariat to be endorsed by Head of Office and concurred by Supervising Undersecretary/Assistant Secretary;
  • Resolution from HRDC Counterpart recommending the nomination of the applicant;
  • Service Record;
  • Certificate of no pending administrative case;
  • Certification from the Director supervising human resources/Assistant Regional Director for Management Service/Assistant Director (Region/Bureau/Attached Agency) stating that the applicant:
    • has no pending scholarship nomination;
    • has not been a delinquent scholar from a previous scholarship grant;
    • has submitted all the required reports from previous foreign travels.
  • Updated Personal Data Sheet, with Work Experience Sheet, duly signed by authorized person administering oath; and
  • Self Certification of official Travel History for the past 24 months.

PROGRAM DETAILS The Asian Forest Cooperation Organization (AFoCO) is an intergovernmental organization in Asia, aimed at strengthening regional forest cooperation by transforming proven technology and policies into concrete actions in the context of sustainable forest management to address the impact of climate change

TITLE OF THE PROGRAM JDS MASTER’S PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIP COURSES IN JAPAN FOR ACADEMIC YEAR (AY) 2023-2024
PROGRAM DETAILS

The objective of JDS is to support human resource development of the Philippines being targeted at highly capable young government officials who are expected to engage in formulating and implementing social and economic development plans and become leaders in the Philippines by studying in Master courses in Japan (the course are provided in English).

  • Certification from the Director supervising human resources/Assistant Regional Director for Management Service/Assistant Director (Region/Bureau/Attached Agency) stating that the applicant(a) has No Pending Scholarship Nomination; (b) has not been a delinquent scholar from a previous scholarship grant; and (c) has submitted all the required reports from previous foreign travels.

Eligibility of Nominees:

  • Citizen of the Republic of the Philippines

  • 22-39 years old

  • Permanent employee of the Philippine government and not a member of the military

  • Bachelor's degree relevant to the field of study

  • English Proficiency and Math Exam: TOEFL PBT 550/ iBT 79-80 or IELTS 6.5 or higher (covered by JDS)

  • 2 years work experience relevant to the field of study

  • Have a performance rating of at least “Very Satisfactory”

  • Have not been awarded any other foreign scholarships for obtaining a master’s degree

DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS

The JDS Scholarship will cover full tuition fees in premiere accepting Japanese universities, monthly living allowance in Japan, roundtrip airfare between Philippines and Japan, and other designated allowances (field study, etc.).
