The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), in partnership with the Clean Air Philippines Movement, Inc. (CAPMI), has launched the Clean Air Patrol program in the Environmental Management Bureau grounds in Quezon City in celebration of the 2017 National Clean Air Month this November. The program will use unmanned aircrafts commonly known as drones to help enforce the Clean Air Act of 1999 or Republic Act 8749 particularly on stationary (industrial factories) and area (construction activities) sources of air pollution. The use and operation of the drones are voluntary on the part of CAPMI and at no cost to the DENR. ###
