EARTH DAY 3D STREET PAINTING WINNERS

Winners of the 3D Street Painting Contest pose with facsimiles of their prize cheques during the Earth Day 2014 celebration held at the Quezon Memorial Circle (QMC) in Quezon City last April 22. Seven groups of Fine Arts students  rendered their interpretation of the contest theme, “Towards Climate-resilient and Eco-friendly Cities” on the assigned pavement of the QMC. The group of Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Manila won the grand prize of P30,000, followed by the Malabon Artist Youth Alliance with P20,000, and the Guhit Visual Arts with P10,000.  The awards were handed out by Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Undersecretary Demetrio Ignacio, Jr. and Environmental Management Bureau Assistant Director Eva Ocfemia (second from right and right, respectively); Earth Day Network Philippines Inc. country coordinator Roberto Guevarra and Boysen Paints Project Management Engineer Patrick Negrete (left and second from left, respectively).
