PRESIDENTS’ TREE



From the 65-year old Tindalo tree originally planted by former President Manuel L. Quezon at the Bacolod City Public Plaza in Negros Occidental comes this three-year old sapling presented to President Aquino by DENR Secretary Ramon J. P. Paje to mark the DENR’s Silver Anniversary celebration in Malacanang Palace.  The sapling was eventually planted by the President with special citation as the 100 MILLIONTH seedling for the National Greening Program (NGP).
